If, like me, you often use Sleep mode instead of shutting down your laptop, it’s easy to forget when you last fully restarted your PC. While this generally doesn’t matter, it’s still important to reboot your PC from time to time so that it can install all the necessary updates.

Command Prompt can tell you when you
last booted your PC

If you want to check when you last booted your computer, you can find this information using the Command Prompt. To do this, press Windows+R, type cmd and press Enter. In the Command Prompt, type :

systeminfo | find / i "Boot Time"

and press Enter. The Command Prompt will display the exact time and date that the PC was last booted. It can take the console up to a minute to find this information, so be patient if it seems like it’s taking a while.
