Install Chrome extensions from any source

Google no longer allows you to install extensions from outside its own 
web store. However, if you’re prepared to take responsibility for what 
you install, you can get around this restriction and install extensions 
from anywhere. First, make sure you have the latest version of the 
browser installed, then download the third-party extension you want in 
CRX (Chrome extension) format. </div>

Click the Settings button and select More Tools, Extensions, then tick 
the ‘Developer mode’ option. Drag and drop the CRX file onto the

Activate Gmail's new ‘Undo Send’ option

There have been so many times when I’ve sent an email only to realise 
immediately that I’ve forgotten to include something important or sent 
it to the wrong person. I recently read that Gmail has introduced a new 
feature called ‘Undo Send’, which lets you retrieve an email a few 
seconds after you’ve dispatched it. <div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">

My friend told me this feature has been part of Gmaﬂ for years. 
Previously, it had been an element in Google Labs. The Gmail section of 
Google Labs lets users test prototype email features and provide 
feedback. The new ‘Undo Send’ feature is now out of this experimental 
phase. But it’s not enabled by default and has to be activated within 
Gmal’s settings.</div>

To do that, click the gear (cog) icon at the top right, then Settings. 
Now scroll down to see the new Undo Send option. Tick Enable Undo Send 
(see screenshot above). You now need to set ‘a cancellation period’ (the
 time you have to retrieve your email after it’s sent). The options are 
5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Select what you want, scroll to the bottom, 
then click Save Changes.</div>

Now try sending an email. Whereas previously, you only saw a ‘View 
message’s link, you’ll now also see an Undo link, which will remain on 
your screen for the ‘cancellation period’. Clicking the link will 
retrieve your email. You can then make the necessary changes and re-send
 it.</div>
