Google has introduced a new option that lets you pre-register for new
apps and games before they’ re released. So the next time you read or
hear about a forthcoming Android app you’d like to try, you can set up
an alert that tells you as soon as it’s available to install.
In a lot of cases, a developer will add their forthcoming app to the
Play Store before it’s available. In this case, you car simply search
for the app, open it and tap the Pre-Register button.
At the time of writing, the only app available to pre-register is a game
called Terminator Genisys: Revolution (see screenshot above). When you
search for it (or any future apps) using the Play Store search bar,
you’ll see a Coming Soon option below the app. Tap the game, then tap
Pre-Register, then Understood. As soon it’s released you’ll see a
notification on your device. Tap it to open the app within the Play
Store, then install it.
