Hi friends, if you are using Windows XP or 7 and looking for an upgrade
to your windows to windows 8, you need to know that you will face a
drastic change of the environment in this next version on windows (Windows 8), one problem that almost every user are facing with it is there DVD drive not recognized in windows 8. So in this video I will tell you how to fix this problem with any extra tool. Lets see how to do it.
Show CD/DVD Drive in your Windows 8 Computer:
1. First of all open Command Prompt as an Administrator. To open it as administrator type cmd in Windows 8 modern UI and press Cltr+Shift+Enter.
You will be asked to allow the program to make changes to your computer, click on Yes to proceed
2. Now type/paste following and hit Enter button:
reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
3. Then Reboot/Restart your system.
Congratulations !! your CD/DVD drive will be displayed on my computer
and will work perfectly. But if after you perform the steps above and if
your DVD drive is still not recognized please reply to this post to let
