If the message "No Media" is displayed for the USB stick then there may be various causes responsible for the same. The USB port used may be defective. To check this, insert the stick in another port. The other alternative is to test the USB stick on another PC.
Find the cause when the PC does not recognise the USB stick correctly
If these attempts do not yield results then it is possible that the USB stick is defective. You can also repair it with the hard disk check in Windows. For this, the operating system has to successfully identify the stick.
Some USB sticks have a write-protection switch. Ensure that the write-protection is disabled. Also check whether the required USB drivers are updated. If not, then you should update them. If the problem is not resolved even after the update then the last option is to format the USB stick. In this case, all your data will be lost but at least you will be able to use the stick again in future.
