I recently had a problem with my Android phone. It had completely run out of space and I couldn’t take any more photos or install any apps. After digging around in the apps and settings, I discovered that Google Play Music, which I use to stream music on my phone, had a huge cache consisting of hundreds of megabytes of music. Clearing it recovered lots of memory and my phone is now working again.
Clear the Google Play
Music cache to reclaim space on your phone
To check this on your phone, open Play Music, go to the menu and tap Settings. Scroll down to the Clear Cache option and use this to free up space. You can also turn off automatic caching.
