Sending data wirelessly to a smartphone works can easily be done with the help of the free Android app AirDroid. First download the free app AirDroid on your smartphone. You can create an account upon starting the app but this is not mandatory. If you do not create an account then enter the IP address given in the app, in the browser of your computer that is registered in the same network. For security reasons, you must confirm the connection to the computer where you have to tap on “Accept” within 10 seconds in the pop-up window.
A successful connection will be shown in the app as well as on the webpage. You can carry out various tasks after you have setup the wireless access to your smartphone. In the lower right hand corner you will find a toolbox. Load the files using the first button and you can change the storage location on the “Smartphone” by clicking on the file path behind “Upload”.

 On the left side you will see many tiles that will take you to the file management. The tile “File” is best suited here if you are not looking for special formats such as photos or music. Click on the file and select “Download” in the top bar. Photos, videos, music and ringtones can be quickly found with the help of the tiles bearing the same name.
You can also upload and download file via the top menu bar. You can also use the smartphone camera via the Camera tile and store the photos directly on the PC. You will find the buttons for Hangouts/SMS and calling in the top menu bar. However, while you can write and send messages on the PC, only the telephone number can be entered in the Telephone feature. Voice calling is done only with the smartphone. You can manage important APK files for developers via the last icon.
